Usage: select a Cflo (Camponotus floridanus) gene ID to
obtain all relevant data.
Data source: Das and de Bekker 2022 and Will et
al. 2019
Q. What if I know my Cflo gene name but not it’s
ID?
If you want to find the Cflo gene ID for a specific gene, use the
Cflo_annots tab to search. For example, search for “period” in
Cflo_annots (you should see two rhythmic genes, periodic tryptophan (ID:
LOC105256010) and period circadian protein (ID: LOC105256454))
Q. What am I staring at?
- Z-plots:
- Daily expression of selected Cflo gene in ant brains
- y-axis = normalized (z-score) gene expression,
- x-axis = zeitgeber time (light=ZT00-12,
dark=ZT12-24/00)
- Results from rhythmicity analyses by eJTK-Cycle
- GammaP_XX < 0.05 indicates that selected gene shows a
sig. daily rhythm of periodicity = XX
- gene description (Blast annotation)
- differentially expressed during manipulated biting?
(DEG_biting)
- Gene Info:
All available functional annotations for the selected Cflo gene (GO,
PFAM, signalP, TMHMM)
- Manipulation?
Results of differential gene expression from Will et al. 2019.
- treatment_:
- Biting = alive, ophio-infected ant heads collected during manipulated
biting - Dead = manipulated ophio-infected ant heads collected right
after death - Control = time-matched un-infected control ant heads
- logFC: log2 fold-change between treatment_1 and
treatment_2
- q_value: BH-corrected p-values for the observed
logFC
- Orthologs
One-to-one orthologs between Cflo and other species (see Methods section
of Das and de Bekker 2022)
- sinv: Solenopsis invicta (fire ants)
- amel: Apis mellifera (honey bees)
- dmel: Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies)
- mmus: Mus musculus (mice)
- human: Hmmmmm…
- Cflo_annots
Searchable list of all Cflo genes that show sig. 24h-rhythms in forager
or nurse ant brains, and their functions.
